Your data never leaves your network
Pinnova installs entirely inside your firewall — no hosted service, no data telemetry. Licensing is enforced locally, with no outbound call to Pinnova of any kind — your schemas, samples, and connection details never leave your network. Security headers, environment-scoped credentials, HTTPS, role-based access control, and a dedicated health endpoint ship on day one. Optional Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on lets employees sign in with the account they already use, with self-service requests to join a functional group routed to that group's own approver — and an optional single-domain restriction keeps every sign-in, local or Entra, scoped to your organization.

What happens if Pinnova is unreachable — or gone
Enterprise buyers of on-premises software ask this before they ask anything else, so here is the answer in writing. Pinnova BDS is built so that your installation never depends on us being online, and your subscription never ends in a cliff.
It runs without us
Pinnova BDS installs entirely inside your network and makes no outbound call to Pinnova — not for licensing, not for updates, not for telemetry. Your license is a signed certificate verified locally against a key built into the product. If www.pinnova.com is down, or Pinnova is not there tomorrow, every installation keeps profiling, validating, and reporting exactly as it does today. Fully air-gapped deployments are supported.
A 30-day grace period, never a cliff
If a subscription lapses, nothing stops. For 30 days everything keeps working and the only change is a renewal banner. Only after that does the installation fall back to the free 3-data-product tier — and even then reporting, dashboards, connectivity, and entity-level profiling keep running and nothing is deleted. Re-activating restores the full entitlement instantly.
Source-code escrow on annual Enterprise
Annual Enterprise subscribers can request a source-code escrow agreement: the product source is deposited with an independent escrow agent and released to you if Pinnova ceases operations or stops maintaining the product. Ask hello@pinnova.com and we will set it up as part of your agreement.
Support you can plan around
Every customer gets the product documentation and the in-app guidance. Team and Enterprise subscribers get the support assistant on their account dashboard around the clock. Enterprise subscribers also get email support at quality@pinnova.com with a first response by the next business day. One click in Admin > Summary produces a support bundle — version, drivers, settings, and log tails with secrets redacted — so the first reply starts from the facts.
Your data, your exit
There is no proprietary lock-in to leave behind. Configuration is exportable as plain CSV, run history sits in a standard SQLite database on your own server, and validation results are written as CSV files you can read with anything. Cancel any time from your account page; your installation and everything it produced stay with you.
